Aquaculture Fish Feed Study
Finding alternative protein sources for aquaculture (fish farm) feeds will reduce the need for wild harvested fish (currently the primary food source), improve the water quality in those facilities and their discharges, and reduce the risk of contaminates in fish feed.

The Trout and Atlantic Salmon portion of this feed study is being performed at the Berkshire National Fish Hatchery Field Station for WMCSA. A plant protein based food is being tested and results in terms of growth size, egg production and water quality are being compared with results from traditional food sources.
